ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were involved in a fatal shooting Thursday morning at the 500 block of Live Oak Pl., near Paseo Del Norte and Tramway in northeast Albuquerque.

BCSO says deputies were dispatched around 4 a.m. to reports of a disturbance. The calling party informed dispatch that the subject was becoming violent was arming himself. BCSO says when deputies arrived on scene a confrontation occurred almost immediately and at least one deputy fired a shot. The subject was struck and later died from their injuries. No deputies were injured in the incident. The Multi-Agency Task Force is investigating the incident.
