Fans are already missing the glittering Victorian architecture, the sounds of the player piano, and the mouth-watering pizzas.

Fargo's Pizza Company announced its (hopefully) temporary closing. As fans and customers read the news, they can immediately hear the player piano in the background, see the waitresses in floor-length Victorian dresses, and taste the first bite of pizza. And, these fans are sad at the news.

Each visit to Fargo's was truly an experience. A casual, family restaurant, Fargo's consistently delivered taste in each of their pizzas and sandwiches. Stopping at the large salad bar was also a must.

Unique pizzas include the Sophia Special (beef, mushroom, pepperoni, and salami), Lonesome Stranger (lean beef and onions), and Mainliner (Canadian bacon, beef, and pepperoni). Pastas and sandwiches were all packed with Italian flavor. Their famous carrot cake was the perfect end to a perfect evening at Fargo's.

Customers would line up at the ticket counters to order pizzas and sandwiches. Unique mirrors placed throughout the restaurant reflected order numbers when the orders were ready to pick up.

The restaurant also has a game room arcade for kids to spend hours and quarters winning prizes to take home and treasure.

Fargo's doesn't list reasons for this closure, though most suspect the hard times of 2020 have finally caught up to the favored restaurant. Fans, customers, and employees alike await the day until the restaurant reopens.

"Praying you can reopen. I was at the Grand Opening of Fargos Pizza in 1973. It is a staple of Colorado Springs. About every day through high school, my buddy Clark Corky Cordova and I ate lunch there almost every day. I had my high school graduation party, my engagement party there, baby showers, birthdays, kids sports get-togethers and all family get-togethers. Literally thousands of memories there! I pray it can reopen. I now live in Florida and there are no restrictions and no businesses closed here. We have Indoor dining every day everywhere! The History of Fargo's Pizza Company

Two brothers, Leon and Landon Gardner, opened the doors of Fargo's Pizza Company in 1973. Since that time, thousands of families, buses of teens, and military personnel have dined at Fargo's.

Sophia fled with her family from political persecution in Italy. Sophia met and fell in love with Fargo, and he turned his life around. With his gambling ways behind him, Fargo had no way to support the family. As a twist of fate, Sophia inherited the family's Italian recipes. Together, Fargo and Sophis would open a restaurant that would introduce pizza to the Colorado Territory.

The legendary restaurant is based on just that ... a legend. Leon Gardner created the story of Fargo and Sophia as the restaurant began. The couple has been formed out of wax, and they sit at a table on a second-story balcony overlooking the restaurant.
