The city of Columbia is hosting a public meeting to give residents a space to share feedback on the future of the city.

The city will host its first Community Summit from 9 a.m. to noon on March 15 at the Columbia city hall, located at 701 E. Broadway.

The event will have interactive booths based on the five strategic goals outlined in the city's Strategic Plan.

The booths aim to help residents to learn about recent city programs supporting the goals: organizational excellence, safe neighborhoods, reliable infrastructure, inclusive community and resilient economy.

Residents will can give feedback on what areas should receive more funding.

The event will have entertainment by dance groups Jabberwocky Studios and 360 Stars in Motion. Snacks will be provided at the event, and metered parking enforcement will be suspended March 15 and parking garages will be free, according to the city.
