No. 9 Florida State softball announced on Monday that it will be without its sophomore outfielder Kennedy Harp for the remainder of the season. She sustained the injury on April 27 against Louisville.

"I'm definitely disappointed by the situation, but I'm staying positive and focused on what I can control. While I may not be able to contribute on the field right now, I'm fully committed to supporting my team in every way possible from the sidelines.," Harp said in a statement.

"I'm incredibly thankful for all the love, encouragement, and well wishes I've received. It truly means a lot. The journey isn't over. I'm already putting in the work to come back stronger, and I'm determined to be the best version of myself by the start of next season."

Harp led the Seminoles with 10 triples and was one away from breaking the single-season record for most triples in a game. She finished the year with 63 hits, 49 runs, 49 RBI, and nine home runs. She hit .412.

With the loss of Harp, Jahni Kerr moved to centerfield with Katie Dack at right field, and Hallie Wacaster to left field.

FSU finished and won the ACC regular-season title against No. 15 Virginia Tech and will face the winner of the Cal-Georgia Tech game in the quarterfinals of the ACC tournament on Thursday at 11 a.m.
