It's the seventh time Alameda has been named the conference coach of the year and she earned the honor after leading the No. 8 Seminoles (44-8 [18-3]) to a regular-season ACC title. Alameda leads a group of seven FSU players who earned All-ACC honors, including three first-team selections in Jazzy Francik , Jahni Kerr and Isa Torres. The honor comes as Alameda continues to coach the Seminoles while fighting breast cancer . She announced she had been diagnosed on March 31, and has continued treatment and coaching duties simultaneously. The Seminoles didn't lose a conference series this season and earned a No. 1 overall seed in the ACC tournament after securing the regular season title. FSU enters the ACC tournament with a first-round bye and will face the winner of the Georgia Tech/Cal in the quarterfinals on May 8 at 11 a.m.
