MADISON – As a high school senior in 2022, Shay Bollin was one of the top girls basketball prospects in the nation. She’ll try to regain that form with Wisconsin. The 6-foot-3 forward signed with the Badgers and will join the team for the upcoming season. She spent the past two seasons at Illinois after starting her career at Duke. She averaged 2.1 points and 1.3 rebounds per game for Illinois in an average of 8 minutes of action in 2023-24. She played in eight games for Duke as a freshman. She missed her junior and senior high school seasons while recovering from knee injuries. According to the Boston Globe, neither injury involved a ligament tear but the repair of her right kneecap as a junior and her left kneecap as a senior. Next season will be Bollin's fourth year of college, but she appears to have a redshirt year to use as well. Bollin announced the commitment on Instagram, noting that she completed her undergrad work at Illinois and will be a graduate student at UW. The addition of Bollin pushes the Badgers 2025-26 roster to 13 players. The roster limit for next season is 15.
