HARRISONBURG, Va. (WHSV) - James Madison women’s lacrosse is NCAA Tournament-bound for the 10th consecutive year.

The Dukes will travel to Charlottesville, Virginia, to open the 2025 NCAA Division I Women’s Lacrosse Championship against Duke on Friday, May 9. The game is scheduled for 6 p.m. at Klöckner Stadium and will stream live on ESPN+.

A win would send JMU to the second round, where they’d face either No. 5 seed Virginia or Long Island University on Sunday, May 11.

This marks JMU’s 21st overall NCAA tournament appearance. The Dukes punched their ticket after sweeping the American Athletic Conference regular season and tournament titles. They enter postseason play at 14-4 overall and 6-0 in AAC action.

JMU has won its NCAA opener in each of the last four tournaments and tallied 10 total NCAA victories in the past decade — highlighted by a 2018 national championship run.
