JT Toppin scored 25 points and pulled down 11 rebounds as the No. 9 Texas Tech Red Raiders dominated the Arizona State Sun Devils 85-57 in the regular season finale at Desert Financial Arena in Tempe, Arizona. Basheer Jihad tied his career high with 22 points for the Sun Devils (13-18, 4-16 Big 12) and Joson Sanon ended with 16 for Arizona State who have lost their last 10 out of 11 games. Toppin, who is considered to be a top candidate for Big 12 Player of the Year, registered his 14th double-double of the year while Kerwin Walton added 11 points with three 3-pointers. With the win, Tech clinches the No. 2 seed in the Big 12 Tournament by virtue of Kansas' win over Arizona earlier in the day on Saturday. The Red Raiders set a program record with 15 Big 12 wins. They topped their conference win total of 14 in 2019. ASU played without top scorers BJ Freeman and Adam Miller. The pair combined for 43 points in the Sun Devils' overtime loss in Lubbock in February. The Red Raiders will open the Big 12 tournament on Thursday with tip-off time to be announced later in the week.
