COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - Another taste of summer has arrived into the Carolinas, with high temperatures around or above 90 degrees the next few days. Good morning! After dealing with daily rain chances since last week, we’re drying out for the next couple of days. High pressure across Florida will keep us warm thanks to a southwest wind. We’ll have some clouds passing by throughout the day, with high temperatures close to 90 degrees. Friday is likely to be the hottest day of this week and the year so far! Southwest flow continues with high pressure locked in across the Sunshine State. An approaching cold front will help as well to compress our air mass, which will allow it to heat up further. Highs Friday hit the low-90s. A weak cold front drops in over the weekend, with rain chances still appearing minimal. There may be a thunderstorm or two around, but most of us will stay dry and hot. Highs on Saturday will top out around 90 degrees, with high temperatures just a touch cooler for Sunday, reaching the upper-80s. Today: Passing clouds throughout the day. Highs near 90 degrees. Tonight: Increasing cloud cover overnight, becoming mostly cloudy by daybreak. Lows near 70 degrees. Friday: Cloudy early, with partly to mostly cloudy skies for the afternoon. Highs in the low-90s. Saturday: Cloudy early, with partial sunshine in the afternoon. Slight chance of rain in the afternoon and evening. Highs around 90 degrees. Sunday: Mostly cloudy skies. Highs in the upper-80s. Monday: A blend of clouds and sunshine. Slight chance of rain in the afternoon and evening. Highs near 90 degrees. . .
