The University of Utah diving program has made a strategic move by enlisting Logan Andrews as its new assistant diving coach. Taking a step out of the head coach spotlight from New Mexico, Andrews joins the Utes with a track record of nurturing diving talent, as acknowledged by head coach Richard Marschner. "I couldn't be more excited about hiring Logan to our staff as we are extremely lucky to be adding someone of his caliber to our team," Marschner said, as per UtahUtes.com . Marschner also admired Andrews’s ability to elevate the program's standing immediately. Andrews' tenure as head diving coach at New Mexico was marked by significant achievements, including coaching four NCAA Zone qualifiers and recruiting a record-breaking junior, Isabella Gomez. Andrews, expressing his enthusiasm, told UtahUtes.com , "I'm incredibly honored to join the University of Utah as the new assistant diving coach." He is eagerly looking forward to contributing to Utah's legacy and advancing the skills of student-athletes. Gaining his initial experience at Ouachita Baptist University, Andrews guided freshmen to podium finishes at the New South Intercollegiate Swimming Conference Championships, an impressive feat for new competitors. He carries a rich personal history in the sport as a competitor himself, being a consistent qualifier for NCAA Zones and a two-time finalist at SEC Championships during his spell diving for Auburn from 2017-21.
