The USAF Thunderbirds will fly over Colorado Springs.

For the first time since May 2021, the United States Air Force Thunderbirds will take flight in Colorado Springs later this week. The Thunderbirds' flight will be part of the U.S. Air Force Academy's graduation ceremony on Wednesday, May 25.

The Class of 2022's graduation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. at Falcon Stadium, with U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd James Austin III serving as a commencement speaker. The Thunderbirds will be flying over following the graduation ceremony.

If you'd like to catch the Thunderbirds in action on Wednesday, the best spot to see them fly over will be east of I-25 near the Air Force Academy. Also, a watch party will be held at 225 North Gate Boulevard by the Western Museum of Mining. Tickets for the watch party are $25, with proceeds going towards the museum.

In addition to the Air Force Academy's graduation, the Thunderbirds will be making an appearance later this summer at the Cheyenne Frontier Days on July 27.
