The Tampa Police Department is conducting an investigation following a bomb threat that was called in yesterday for a location on N. Franklin St. As reported by the City of Tampa's official website , the threat was aimed at the vicinity outside the 1st Horizon Bank.

The anonymous tip came in around 2:20 pm, prompting police officers to quickly securely respond to the area. In ensuring public safety, the Tampa Police Bomb Unit was also called in to support the investigation according to the same source. The police have not found any evidence as of yet to consider this to be an active threat to the community.

Authorities are taking the matter seriously as they continue to carry out interviews and scrutinize the bank's surrounding area for any potential clues. Despite the threat, routine activities in the area appear to remain unfazed under the careful watch of the Tampa Police.
